Simin is the persian phrase for "silvern", anything made of or coloured silver. It is also a name for girls. These two are the significant features of this project.
The project has focused on the modern outdoor style of the Iranian young girls. The applied technique of these photos is inspired by Daguerreotype process, the first publicly available photographic process. Therefore, the photos are on mirror-like silver-coated copper plates, which the viewer can see himself when looking at the photos. These photos represent the present within an old medium.
